The 92TT recently failed NJ state inspection on suspension, which is about time since it is still on its original shock. :-P The car is street only, and I drive like a grandma, so it doesn't really need any fancy shock setup. However, after reading up past posts, it seems that the most reasonable choice is a set of coilovers. Coilovers cost not much more than stock shock ($800) + mounting pieces ($280). Coilovers also do not have the problem of 3rd party shock+spring travel length problem (and I really don't want to lower the car). I assume that if I set the coilovers at stock ride height, I do not need adjustable camber arms (so I don't ruin the tires). The coilovers I am looking at are the Powertrix Race and the SPL. Can anyone tell me if they can be set at stock height? I searched but couldn't find any conclusive answer. I plan to run the coilovers at the softest possible preload which will help increase the ride height, at least that's what I understand from SPL's install instructions. Thanks and cheers! Ed.
